Switch Donation is about giving differently and thinking differently about the gift giving process, especially within companies and schools!

Instead of exchanging Christmas gifts, within your business or school, why not exchange the gift of a charitable donation i.e #SwitchYourGift. We engage with schools and businesses to make donations to charity in lieu of exchanging gifts.

Why we created Switch Donation.

Our founders Ciara and Debbie, both parents of young children, experienced first hand the pressures of buying gifts, for multiple teachers, each Christmas. Often there is more than one member of teaching staff in each class. Having more than one child at school, means the expense can quickly become a problem and put parents under unnecessary pressure.

Switch for Schools.

Whilst gifting teachers is an extremely thoughtful and caring gesture and they most certainly deserve praise for the amazing job they do, often a teacher will end up with multiple duplicate gifts of chocolates etc and many, sadly, unwanted gifts. Allowing children to make a donation helps to teach children a valuable lesson in the spirit of giving.

Switch for Business

Similarly within corporate business there is a pattern of gift giving each Christmas. Companies will purchase Christmas gifts for their clients and colleagues, gifts such as alcohol or hampers. They then receive a similar gift from those clients in return! In a large company this can amount to a lot of unnecessary gift giving. Hoping to change this habit for the better, Switch Donation encourages companies to make a charitable donation on their behalf.
